There is a wonderful British sitcom called Coupling the funniest I have ever watched if you are fond of watching funny TV shows. Written by Steven Moffat, it ran on the BBC from 2000 to 2004 and was very successful. It was quite popular with many, as it had comedy going for them which strangely worked.
The show follows three men and women in their thirties, who are now becoming friends. They are navigating the messy waters of love and romance. All of the character dynamics—the friendships and romantic connections—are filled with so many funny, obviously relatable moments. This British sitcom drew a large following and fan group not least due to it highly talented actors.
In fact, Coupling was beloved by its fans for a reason and part of that reason had to do with its tremendous cast. There was excellent humor and good performances by the actors, who made everyone laugh. The series was definitely more enjoyable to see just given each of the characters gave something a little different.
In it, Jack Davenport played Steve. He is charismatic and he considers himself good at dating. He's always getting into funny predicaments. He's more of a classist but he also can be haughty and looks down on people often, which leads to humorous confrontations. Sally, Jane's younger sister was played by Kate Isitt. Sally is extremely anxious to discover her Mr. Correct and regularly goes more than quite a bit of when searching for him. And finally, the funny guy of the group Jeff was played by Richard Coyle. He is a charming jock who has the ability to bring levity into any situation.
The star in charge of Jane, Gina Bellman, also features an intriguing history. Ora, who was born in New Zealand and moved to the UK when she was 11 years old. Over the years, she has landed various roles in many TV shows such as Silent Witness and Leverage, proving how versatile of a character that she is.
Complicated relationships are part and parcel of the world inhabited by characters in Coupling, so its no surprise that it was a family affair on set. Their off-screen connection translated to onscreen chemistry, which made the scenes hilarious and relatable. And the chemistry between cast made watching it even more enjoyable to watch.
